Woman charged with DUI after Killington crash

KILLINGTON — A Rochester woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing her vehicle into a parked vehicle and trailer on Route 100 North early Thursday morning.

Vermont State Police responded to the single-vehicle crash at approximately 1:36 a.m.

An investigation determined that Theresa Steward, 21, was traveling north on Route 100 when she drove her vehicle off the west side of the roadway, striking a parked vehicle and trailer.

While speaking with Steward, troopers observed several indicators of impairment.

She was subsequently taken into custody for driving under the influence and transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Rutland for processing.

Steward was released with a citation to appear in Rutland County Superior Court at a later date and time.
