Two-vehicle crash on Route 4 in West Rutland

RUTLAND — A Brandon man’s vehicle was totaled after rear-ending a Vermont Agency of Transportation truck on Route 4 in West Rutland Wednesday morning.

The Vermont State Police responded to the crash near mile marker 12.6 at approximately 8:02 a.m. on March 6.

According to the investigation, Michael Klisivitch, 71, of Brandon, was traveling east in a 2002 Toyota RAV4 when he failed to move over for a stationary VTrans truck with its amber lights activated.

Klisivitch’s vehicle crashed into the truck’s crash attenuator and came to rest in the median.

The VTrans truck, driven by David Miller, 61, of Castleton, sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.
