Police investigate theft from contractors at York Lake in New Marlborough

NEW MARLBOROUGH — The New Marlborough Police and Animal Control are investigating a report of stolen items from contractors working at the beach area of York Lake on March 5.

The stolen items, valued at over $500, included clothing and reference books. The contractors observed one vehicle and person of interest in the area at the time of the incident.

The subject is described as a white male in his 30s, wearing a green sweater and brown baseball hat, walking a white dog near the reported items.

He was seen driving a navy blue Dodge or Chevy pickup truck with a lift kit, but no further description was provided.
