Three injured in Peterborough crash, Route 101 closed near Wilton Road

PETERBOROUGH — At approximately 5:15 p.m., emergency crews from Peterborough Fire & Rescue and the Peterborough Police Department were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with potential entrapment on Route 101 near 530 Wilton Road.

Upon arrival, Peterborough Fire & Rescue 24C1 confirmed entrapment, involving two patients.

Due to simultaneous medical emergencies in the area, Peterborough requested mutual aid.

Souhegan Valley Ambulance Service responded to the call, and a third ambulance was dispatched from Jaffrey Rindge Memorial Ambulance Service.

A total of three patients were transported to the hospital by ground ambulance.

A medical helicopter was initially summoned but later canceled.

The severity of the crash necessitated the closure of Route 101 in the vicinity of the accident.

Police are still investigating the incident, and further details are expected to be released by the Peterborough Police Department.
