Springfield man arrested on fugitive warrant at probation office

SPRINGFIELD — On Feb. 29, Springfield police apprehended a man wanted on an extraditable felony arrest warrant from Connecticut.

According to a police press release, Kwesi Wilson was discovered in the lobby of Springfield Probation and Parole at 100 Mineral Street at approximately 2:22 p.m.

The Springfield Dispatch confirmed the outstanding warrant for Wilson prior to his arrest.

Officers took Wilson into custody without incident, and he was issued a criminal citation for appearing in Windsor County Criminal Court on March 1 to respond to charges of Fugitive from Justice.

Wilson was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility with bail set at $25,000 cash or surety.
