Man arrested for violating abuse prevention order in Chelsea

CHELSEA — A Massachusetts man was arrested Thursday evening for allegedly violating a court-issued abuse prevention order, according to the Vermont State Police.

John E. Cahill, 42, of Millers Falls, was taken into custody after troopers responded around 6:04 p.m. to a complaint in Chelsea.

The investigation concluded that Cahill had breached the conditions set by the court.

Cahill was processed and released with a citation.

He is scheduled to appear at the Orange County Criminal Division to answer to the charge.

The court date and time were not immediately provided in the police report.
