BURLINGTON — Vermont State Police cited a Burlington woman for negligent operation after she was caught speeding on Interstate 189 on March 1.
Ashley Burt, 38, was observed by troopers driving a grey Nissan Rogue at a speed of 86 mph in a 55 mph zone around 2:12 p.m. T
he vehicle was traveling westbound near the intersection with Route 7 when radar confirmed it was 31 mph over the limit.
After being pulled over without incident, Burt was issued a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court on a date to be determined.
The Vermont State Police continue to enforce speed limits and promote road safety.
