HINESBURG — On Feb. 29, Vermont State Police took Joseph Robar, 37, into custody following a disturbance call at a North Road residence, where he allegedly violated court orders and resisted arrest.

Troopers responded to the scene around 2:30 a.m. after reports of a family disturbance.

Investigation revealed that Robar had breached conditions set by the court including an abuse prevention order by contacting a protected individual at a prohibited location.

Robar faced resistance when authorities attempted to arrest him later the same day.

Following the altercation, he was processed at the Williston Barracks.

Robar is set to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on March 1 at 8:30 a.m. to respond to the charges, which include Violation of Conditions of Release, Violation of an Abuse Prevention Order, and Resisting Arrest.

He has been held at the Northwest State Correctional Facility without bail due to a Probation and Parole violation.
