ENOSBURG — Two Bakersfield residents were issued criminal citations on Jan. 6 for alleged involvement in theft and fraudulent activity, according to Vermont State Police.

Anthony Mason, 30, and Oliviah Ovitt, 27, were linked to a theft from a vehicle reported earlier that morning.

At approximately 9:27 a.m., troopers from the St. Albans barracks responded to a report of items stolen from two unlocked vehicles parked at a residence on Church Street.

Authorities were notified that a debit card taken from one of the vehicles was later used at the Jolley Convenience store in Enosburg.

Surveillance footage from the store assisted the police in identifying the suspects as Mason and Ovitt.

The investigation concluded with Mason and Ovitt receiving citations for False Pretenses or Tokens and Possessing or Receiving Stolen Property.

They are expected to appear in court to face the charges.
