Two Providence men arrested on cocaine possession, conspiracy charges

PROVIDENCE — Aneurys Javier Santana, 31, and Derian Moreno Herrera, 26, both of 79 Hawkins Street in Providence, were arrested yesterday,

The bust was part of a multi-agency task force on charges including possession of cocaine in excess of 1 kilogram, possession with intent to deliver a Schedule I/II controlled substance, and controlled substance conspiracy.

The arrests were made by members of the HIDTA Task Force, the USPIS Providence Office, the Providence Police Department, and the Lincoln Barracks.

Both men were processed at the Lincoln Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and turned over to the ACI Intake Center pending arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.
