Poultney man arrested for violating abuse prevention order

POULTNEY — Vermont State Police arrested a Poultney man on Monday evening for allegedly violating an abuse prevention order multiple times.

Troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded to a call at approximately 5:58 p.m. in the Town of Poultney.

Upon investigation, they determined that Andre White, 39, had breached the conditions of the order.

White was located in nearby Rutland Town and taken into custody without incident.

He was transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing, where a Judicial Officer set bail at $500.

White is scheduled to appear at the Rutland Superior Court – Criminal Division on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. to face the charges.

The Vermont State Police did not release any information regarding the victim, adhering to their policy on domestic and sexual assault cases.
