Route 25 incident: Man in custody for endangering motorists in Bradford

BRADFORD — Vermont State Police arrested a 41-year-old Barre man for disorderly conduct after he was reportedly creating a disturbance and endangering traffic on Vermont Route 25 Saturday afternoon.

Police received multiple calls on Feb. 25 at approximately 2:42 p.m. regarding a man behaving erratically on Route 25 near Chase Hollow Road.

Witnesses reported the man, later identified as Jean-Paul Isabelle, jumping into traffic and attempting to start altercations with drivers.

Upon arrival, officers found Isabelle lying in the middle of the roadway, causing a traffic backup. Isabelle showed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested.

He was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Criminal Court.
