Fairfield driver, child uninjured in crash

FAIRFIELD — A Fairfield woman and her young passenger escaped injury after a single-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 36 early Saturday morning.

Vermont State Police responded to the crash near New Street at approximately 1:09 a.m. on Feb. 25.

The driver, Anne Lepeltier, 39, lost control while navigating a turn.

The vehicle left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch.

Lepeltier and her 7-year-old passenger were wearing seatbelts and were unharmed.

They sought shelter at a nearby residence and were examined by Amcare Ambulance Services.

The Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
