MANCHESTER — A local basketball coach has been charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault following allegations from a woman who says she was assaulted as a high school student.

The Manchester Police Department received a report from Lawrence Police on Feb. 7 about a sexual assault that occurred in Manchester.

The initial complaint was filed by SafeSport, a group dedicated to combating abuse in athletics.

Investigators discovered that Jesus Moore, 34, of Manchester, who coached at Lawrence High School, had allegedly facilitated transportation for the female student to Manchester, provided her with alcohol, and sexually assaulted her at a motel in 2022.

Moore surrendered to Manchester Police on Feb. 22, and his bail was set at $1,000 cash.

He is scheduled for arraignment in Manchester District Court on March 27.
