Hartland man charged with aggravated domestic assault

HARTLAND — A local man was arrested for a domestic assault that took place over a year ago, Vermont State Police reported Tuesday.

David A. Thibodeau, Jr., 44, of Hartland, is accused of 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault stemming from an incident that allegedly occurred on Oct. 5.

Authorities received a report of the assault on that date at about 7:14 p.m.

After an investigation, state troopers determined that Thibodeau was involved in an assault with a household member.

He was taken into custody and processed at the Vermont State Police – Royalton Barracks.

Thibodeau has been lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility and is scheduled to appear in Windsor County Superior Court on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.

The identity of the victim has not been released due to the nature of the crime.
