Bennington man arrested for DUI, resisting arrest, custodial interference

POWNAL — Vermont State Police arrested a 41-year-old Bennington man on charges of DUI, resisting arrest, and custodial interference after responding to a custodial dispute on US Route 7 on Feb. 20 at 5:47 p.m.

Authorities said they encountered Rickey Amidon during the incident, who displayed signs of alcohol impairment.

Amidon was taken into custody after he resisted arrest.

He faces charges of suspicion of DUI – Alcohol and Custodial Interference.

Amidon was ordered by the Honorable Court to appear for a hearing on Feb. 21 at 12:30 p.m. at the Bennington Superior Court – Criminal Division.

He has been held on $500 bail.
