St. Albans man charged with second DUI after interstate incident

FAIRFAX — A 73-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after Vermont State Police responded to a report of a vehicle in the median of Interstate 89 on Feb. 19.

Authorities said they received the call around 5:52 p.m. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle off the road and located the driver, identified as Robert W.

Taylor of St. Albans, walking northbound on the interstate.

Taylor exhibited signs of impairment, according to police.

Following an investigation, Taylor was arrested for driving under the influence, marking his second DUI offense.

He was transported to the State Police Barracks in St. Albans for processing.

Taylor was issued a citation to appear at the Franklin County Superior Court on March 11 at 8:30 a.m.
