Manchester police arrest suspect in late-night bar shooting

MANCHESTER — Shortly before midnight on Feb. 19, Manchester Police were called to 603 Bar and Grill at 1087 Elm Street following reports of a shooting incident.

Officers arriving at the scene found a female victim on Lowell Street with a gunshot wound to her leg.

She was promptly transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

After an intensive investigation, police identified the suspect as 33-year-old Micky Garst, Jr., a Manchester resident.

Approximately two and a half hours after the incident, Garst was located and apprehended by authorities.

Garst faces charges of First Degree Assault and Armed Career Criminal.

He is scheduled for arraignment this morning at Manchester District Court.
