1 min read

SALEM — Attorney General John M. Formella and Salem Police Chief Joel Dolan announced Monday that autopsies have been completed on Jennifer L. Barrett, 47, and Charles W. Molinari, 41, who were found dead in their Bodwell Avenue home on Feb. 17.

The autopsies, performed by Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jennie Duval, concluded that Barrett’s death resulted from a gunshot wound to the head and was ruled a homicide.

Molinari’s death was caused by a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was ruled a suicide.

Authorities are investigating the case as a potential murder-suicide, with evidence suggesting that Molinari shot Barrett before taking his own life.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.

Officials have indicated that no further information will be released at this stage of the investigation.
