Bellingham police arrest armed robbery suspect

1 min read

BELLINGHAM — A weeklong manhunt concluded last night with the arrest of Agapito Davila, the suspect in last weekend’s armed robbery, thanks to collaborative efforts between local law enforcement and community members.

Davila was apprehended by the Lowell Police Department, with the assistance of the NEMLEC SWAT team, following leads provided by vigilant residents.

The arrest was the culmination of intensive investigative work by Officer Chofay, the evening shift of the previous week, detectives, and the Massachusetts State Police Crime Lab.

The Bellingham Police Department now has custody of Davila, who is scheduled for arraignment at Milford District Court on Tuesday.

This swift resolution was made possible by the coordinated action of multiple law enforcement agencies and the critical information supplied by the community.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Daigle, public information officer for the Bellingham Police, has extended gratitude on behalf of the department to everyone who played a role in bringing the case to a close.
