Woman arrested for DUI after crash near Clarendon rest stop

CLARENDON — Vermont State Police arrested a Rutland woman on charges of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash early Valentine’s Day morning.

According to authorities, troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded to the scene on US RT 7 near the Clarendon Rest Stop at about 3:30 a.m.

The driver, identified as 51-year-old Kimberly Senecal of Rutland, was involved in the accident.

During the investigation, troopers noted several signs of impairment.

Senecal was taken into custody and brought to the Rutland City Police Department for processing.

After the processing was complete, Senecal received a citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court – Criminal Division at a later date to face DUI charges.

The Vermont State Police have not released further details about the incident pending court proceedings.
