Boston police seek help identifying shooting suspect on Blue Hill Avenue

BOSTON — Boston Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a non-fatal shooting incident that occurred Jan. 25 at approximately 7:04 a.m. at 236 Blue Hill Avenue in Roxbury.

Authorities responded to a shot spotter activation at the given address and upon arrival, officers interviewed witnesses.

The suspect, an unidentified black male wearing a black jacket, reportedly exited the passenger side of a vehicle and fired shots at the victim, who was not hit.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the situation and urges anyone with information to contact District B-2 Detectives at (617) 343-4275.

The department assures that the identities of informants providing tips anonymously will be protected.
