SUNDERLAND — A single-vehicle accident on US Route 7 near mile marker 29.6 left a New Jersey man with minor injuries on Feb. 16.

Vermont State Police responded to the scene at approximately 8:54 a.m. to find a 2018 Lexus LX on its passenger side in the northbound embankment.

The vehicle, operated by 22-year-old Jack Sutton of Oakhurst, NJ, had rolled over due to traveling too fast for the slush-covered and wet roadway conditions.

Sutton, who was wearing his seatbelt, sustained a minor head injury but was cleared by the Arlington Rescue Squad and did not require hospitalization.

No other passengers in the vehicle were injured.

Authorities, including the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles, Arlington Fire Department, and Southern Vermont Auto, provided assistance at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Vermont State Police.
