Franklin police seek help identifying suspect in propane tank thefts

FRANKLIN — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of propane tanks from a local CVS on Central Street.

The Franklin Police Department received a report on Feb. 8 about the thefts, which occurred the previous evening and again on the morning of Feb. 8.

Surveillance footage from the store shows an individual who appears to be connected to the thefts.

Authorities believe the suspect was driving a dark-colored Nissan pickup truck at the time of the incidents.

The police have released the video to the public in hopes that someone will recognize the individual or the vehicle.

Det. Sgt. Kent Matthews is leading the investigation and urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to come forward.
