ROCHESTER — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announced the arrest of Chad James Dandeneau, formerly recognized as the Fugitive of the Week, on a probation violation warrant related to a conviction for being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.
Dandeneau, 49, was captured without incident on Feb. 12 in Rochester by the Strafford County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
Following his arrest, he was taken to the Strafford County House of Corrections.
The successful apprehension of Dandeneau marks another achievement for the Fugitive of the Week program, initiated by the Department of Corrections in March of the previous year.
The program aims to enlist the public’s help in tracking down individuals who have evaded supervision.
Every Wednesday, the Department disseminates details about a selected fugitive, utilizing various communication platforms and coordinating with law enforcement through the New Hampshire Information and Analysis Center.
With the cooperative efforts of the Strafford County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force, the Department of Corrections continues to prioritize public safety and the enforcement of legal accountability for those who attempt to elude the justice system.
