Wallingford woman charged with domestic assault

WALLINGFORD — Vermont State Police arrested a Wallingford woman on charges of domestic assault after a disturbance at a local residence on the evening of Feb. 12.

Troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded to the scene on Homer Stone Rd. around 6:39 p.m. following reports of a domestic altercation.

During their investigation, officers determined that Amanda King, 40, had caused bodily harm to a family member while a child was present.

King was taken into custody without incident and processed at the Rutland Barracks.

Following processing, she was released with conditions as set by the court.

Further details regarding the incident, including the nature of the injuries and the relationship between King and the victim, were not immediately disclosed.

King is expected to appear in court to face the charges against her.
