Nashua Subway employee arrested for restaurant burglary

NASHUA — A local Subway employee has been charged with burglary after a break-in at the sandwich shop where he worked, police said.

The Nashua Police Department arrested Everett Rice, 32, following an investigation into a Jan. 24 burglary at the Subway located at 4 Coliseum Ave.

The store manager suspected Rice, who was an employee at the time of the incident.

Detectives, after taking over the case, were able to positively identify Rice as the suspect.

They obtained an arrest warrant, which led to Rice turning himself in on Feb. 9.

At the time of his arrest, Rice was charged with burglary.

He also had an outstanding Electronic Bench Warrant for unrelated motor vehicle offenses.

Rice was released on $100 cash bail and is scheduled for arraignment in the 9th Circuit – District Division – Nashua Court on Feb. 19.

The Nashua Police Department is encouraging anyone with additional information regarding the burglary to come forward.
