Fairlee woman arrested for threats, false 911 calls

FAIRLEE — Vermont State Police arrested a local woman early Tuesday morning after she allegedly made several threatening communications and false reports to law enforcement.

Heather Whipple, 30, was taken into custody after police were notified of the threats and multiple 911 calls she made threatening violence.

The incidents occurred on Feb. 13 at 10:28 a.m., according to authorities.

Whipple now faces charges of criminal threatening, false reports to law enforcement officers (LEO), and disorderly conduct via electronic means.

Following her arrest, she was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Criminal Court to answer to the charges.

The Vermont State Police have not released further details about the nature of the threats or the number of false 911 calls made.

The case is currently under investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
