SALEM — A wrong-way driver was arrested early Monday morning after being stopped by New Hampshire State Police on Interstate 93.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. on Feb. 12, State Police received reports of a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Interstate 93, beginning from the state line near Salem.

Trooper William Moran from the NHSP Troop B Barracks responded to the incident by positioning himself north of the errant vehicle, just south of exit 4, where he successfully deployed stop sticks.

The intervention deflated three tires on the vehicle, causing it to slow to a halt.

Additional troopers, along with officers from the Londonderry Police Department, subsequently intercepted the vehicle.

The driver, identified as 33-year-old Nicole Plummer of Lowell, Massachusetts, was taken into custody following a roadside investigation.

Plummer faces multiple charges including Reckless Conduct, Disobeying an Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Driving While Intoxicated.

She is scheduled to appear in Superior Court later this month.

State Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Trooper Moran at (603) 223-4381.
