Driver charged with DUI following I-91 crash in Westminster

WESTMINSTER — Vermont State Police arrested a Connecticut man on suspicion of driving under the influence after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 northbound near Exit 4.

Troopers responded to the report of the accident on Feb. 10 at around 8 p.m. Upon arrival, they encountered Jose Roldan Jr., 29, of Plainville, Connecticut, the sole operator of the vehicle involved in the crash.

Roldan, who exhibited signs of impairment, was transported to Brattleboro Hospital for minor injuries sustained in the incident.

After an investigation at the scene, Roldan was taken into custody for DUI.

He was processed at the Westminster State Police Barracks and later released with a citation.

Roldan is set to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Feb. 27 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charges.
