Rockingham man arrested on multiple charges including domestic assault

ROCKINGHAM — Vermont State Police arrested a local man Saturday evening on allegations of domestic assault and other charges following an incident at a home on Pleasant Valley Road.

Troopers were called to the scene at 5:41 p.m. and upon arrival, they encountered Jesse P.

Bacon, 45, reportedly intoxicated and accused of assaulting a 15-year-old resident.

Bacon, who is from Rockingham, faces charges of aggravated domestic assault, his fourth DUI offense, cruelty to a child, and driving with a suspended license (DLS).

Bacon was processed at the Westminster State Police Barracks.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Feb. 12, and was held at the Southern State Correctional Facility on $1,000 bail.

The Vermont State Police did not release the name of the minor victim, adhering to policies protecting individuals involved in cases of sexual assault or domestic violence.
