Richford woman arrested on outstanding warrant for false pretenses

RICHFORD — A local woman was taken into custody late Friday night on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on a charge related to financial deception.

State Police confirmed that Kenna Ward, 29, was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. after troopers from the St. Albans barracks located her in her hometown of Richford.

Ward had been sought on a warrant for failure to appear, with an underlying charge of false pretenses involving more than $900.

Ward was apprehended without incident and subsequently transported to the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility.

Further details regarding her court date or bail conditions were not immediately available.
