Killington man arrested for DUI on Route 4

MENDON — Vermont State Police arrested a Killington man late Thursday night on charges of driving under the influence on US Route 4.

At approximately 9:34 p.m., troopers from the Rutland barracks responded to reports of an erratic driver in the area.

The vehicle was located in Killington, where the driver was identified as 59-year-old Glenn Burres.

During the stop, Burres exhibited signs of alcohol impairment and was subsequently arrested for DUI.

He was taken to the Rutland State Police Barracks for processing.

Following his arrest, Burres was released with a citation to appear before the Rutland Superior Court Criminal Division to face the DUI charge at a later scheduled date.
