DORSET — A local man was arrested Thursday on charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault and aggravated stalking, Vermont State Police said.

Jonathan Trudel, 35, of Dorset, was taken into custody after troopers received a report of a threatening call that occurred Wednesday evening on Dorset West Road.

An investigation led to probable cause that Trudel had assaulted and stalked a household member.

Following the arrest, Trudel was held at Marble Valley Regional Correction Facility without bail.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 12 at 12:30 p.m. to respond to the charges.

The Vermont State Police have not released any information regarding the victim, adhering to policies that protect the identities of victims of sexual assault or domestic violence.
