MILTON — A New York woman was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs at a Milton gas station on Feb. 8, Vermont State Police said.

Georgia Castleman, 40, of Mooers Forks, was observed by troopers hanging out of her passenger door at the Mobile gas station on Route 7 at approximately 7:08 p.m.

Witnesses reported that Castleman had repeatedly tried to get gas and then appeared to fall asleep.

When troopers interacted with Castleman, they noticed signs of impairment and conducted field sobriety exercises.

Following the exercises, she was taken into custody for DUI and transported to the state police barracks in Williston.

Castleman was later released with a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court to face the DUI charge.
