Newbury man arrested on domestic assault charge

NEWBURY — On Feb. 8, Vermont State Police arrested 52-year-old Larry Salmons of Newbury on a charge of domestic assault following a family dispute at his residence.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to the scene around 7:27 p.m. after receiving reports of a family fight.

The investigation led to the development of probable cause that Salmons had caused a household member to fear imminent serious bodily injury.

Salmons was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

He was later released with court-ordered conditions and a citation to appear in court to face the charges.

The identity of the victim has not been released by authorities, adhering to privacy policies concerning victims of domestic violence.
