MANCHESTER — Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a truck involved in an assault on a local man earlier this month.

Authorities were called to an alley near 940 Elm St. at about 10 p.m. Feb. 4, where they found a 22-year-old man who had been stabbed and thrown from a mattress.

The victim, who does not have a permanent address, described being attacked by two men who then escaped in a dark-colored Ram pickup truck with a sander in the bed.

The vehicle is believed to be either a 2500 or 3500 model and had a State Park license plate.

The first assailant is described as a slim white male wearing a black Celtics hat, black shirt, and dark pants.

The second is a heavy-set white male with hairy arms, donning a red shirt, work pants or shorts, and speaking with a Boston accent.

Manchester Police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspects to call 603-668-8711.

Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Manchester Crimeline at 603-624-4040.
