Porsche crash in Penacook leaves two injured, cuts power to over 100

CONCORD — A severe car crash involving a Porsche left two people injured and caused a power outage for more than 100 Unitil customers in Penacook on Wednesday night.

The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Borough Road near Fowler Street.

Concord police and firefighters were dispatched to the scene after reports of a collision with potential injuries.

A subsequent call to dispatch confirmed that there were definite injuries involved.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel found an early 1980s Porsche that had struck a utility pole, resulting in serious injuries.

The area around River Street was closed to traffic as rescue efforts commenced.

Firefighters and EMTs reached the scene by approximately 8:30 p.m., and both the driver and a passenger were reported to be injured.

A second ambulance arrived approximately 15 minutes later to aid in the response, and one individual had to be extricated from the vehicle by the fire crew.

Law enforcement officers worked to manage the crash site, gather witness statements, and later visited Concord Hospital to interview the crash victims.

In response to the accident, a tow truck was called, and Unitil was notified to address the damaged utility infrastructure.

According to Unitil’s power outage map, approximately 129 customers on Borough Road, Fowler Street, Primrose Lane, and Millennium Way experienced power disruptions.

The company anticipated that power would be fully restored between 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
