Milford police probe pedestrian accident, driver cited

MILFORD — Multiple 911 calls early Thursday led to the dispatch of emergency responders to a pedestrian accident at 106 Congress St.

At 7:55 a.m., Milford Public Safety Communications Center received reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Milford Police and Fire Departments, along with Community EMS, rushed to the scene, closing the roadway and providing aid.

The injured pedestrian was taken to UMASS Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

Authorities have issued several citations to the driver.

The Milford Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
