Holyoke police recover stolen Tesla, apprehend two juveniles

HOLYOKE — Police officers responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle at 912 Dwight St. on Feb. 3, successfully tracking down a stolen Tesla in the Main Street area.

Upon locating the vehicle, officers attempted to initiate a stop, but the driver refused to pull over, leading to a short pursuit that ended when the Tesla crashed into a snowbank.

The occupants then fled the scene on foot.

Holyoke Police Department officials reported that two of the three suspects, both juveniles, were apprehended shortly after the incident.

One of the youths was found in possession of a stolen firearm, and a second loaded firearm, equipped with a switch to enable fully automatic fire, was discovered inside the stolen vehicle.

In accordance with policies regarding minors, the identities of the juveniles have not been released by the authorities.

The Holyoke Police Department is continuing its investigation into the incident and the search for the third suspect.
