BRENTWOOD — A Rockingham Sheriff’s Office deputy engaged in a high-speed pursuit Monday night with a reckless driver that managed to evade capture, according to authorities.

Officials report that around 9 p.m., the deputy attempted to stop a white Honda CRV for reckless driving along Route 101 west in Brentwood.

The vehicle, sporting an unknown Massachusetts license plate, fled at speeds exceeding 100 mph and, at one point, switched off its lights in an apparent effort to disappear from view.

The chase continued to Raymond, where the suspect vehicle took exit 4 and was last spotted near Bayou Drive on Batchelder Road before eluding the deputy.

An extensive search of the area did not lead to the location of the CRV.

The Sheriff’s Office is now seeking the public’s assistance.

Witnesses, or those with dashcam or home video footage of the incident, are urged to contact Deputy Mason Krieger.

The New Hampshire State Police, Raymond Police Department, and Fremont Police Department have been acknowledged for their support during the incident.
