CONCORD — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is on an active search for Eric Kyle Gonyer, who has become the focus of their “Fugitive of the Week” initiative due to multiple outstanding warrants.

Gonyer, who has eluded capture, faces a probation violation in Belknap County Superior Court and a felony narcotics possession charge in Merrimack County Superior Court.

Both courts have issued warrants for his arrest.

In addition, he has several misdemeanor charges pending in various district courts.

Despite being notified of the warrants and offered numerous opportunities to surrender, Gonyer has not complied and continues to evade law enforcement.

He is known to frequent the Belmont, Laconia, Gilford, and Franklin areas and has been observed driving a variety of vehicles, disregarding the fact that he does not hold a valid driver’s license.

Authorities highlight Gonyer’s lengthy criminal record, spanning over two decades, including serious offenses such as an armed robbery, violation of a protective order, domestic violence simple assault, and six convictions for violating probation or parole.

His history also indicates a persistent pattern of drug use and non-compliance with treatment programs.

The Department of Corrections has issued a stern warning to the public not to approach Gonyer but instead, to report any information that could lead to his apprehension.

The public is urged to contact the NH Department of Corrections at (603) 527-5454 or (603) 271-1804, the nearest police department, or call 9-1-1 with any relevant details.

Tips can also be submitted through the department’s social media channels.
