Derby man arrested for property damage at local residence

DERBY — At around 8 a.m. on Feb. 7, Vermont State Police troopers were dispatched to a residence on Bushey Hill Road due to a reported dispute.

Upon arrival, troopers found that Burton Jacobs, 27, of Derby, had caused damage to property within the home.

Jacobs was present at the scene and was apprehended without further incident.

Following the arrest, Jacobs was turned over to the Vermont Department of Corrections and was transported back to the Northern State Correctional Facility.

Troopers also issued Jacobs a citation to appear in court to face charges of unlawful mischief related to the property damage incident.
