Woman escapes injury after I-91 ramp crash in Derby

DERBY — A New Hampshire woman walked away unharmed from a single-vehicle accident early Monday morning at the Interstate 91 southbound on-ramp.

Vermont State Police responded to the scene near Access Rd at Exit 27 around 1:26 a.m. where they found a 2022 GMC Terrain with damage to the driver’s side fender and wheel.

The driver, 32-year-old Emily Kilcoyne of Exeter, was wearing her seatbelt and did not sustain any injuries.

According to the police report, Kilcoyne’s vehicle had struck a wire guardrail on the left side of the ramp, causing damage to the guardrail as well as the vehicle.

Road conditions were dry and the weather clear at the time of the accident.

No other vehicles were involved, and no hospitalization was required.

B & B Motorsports was called to the scene to assist with the incident.

The Vermont State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
