Manchester police seek suspects in alley attack

MANCHESTER — Police are investigating an assault that occurred in an alley near 940 Elm St. at approximately 10 p.m. on Feb. 4, where a 22-year-old man was attacked by two individuals.

Responding officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of an injured man involved in a fight.

Upon arrival, the victim had already left the location, but was found by police a few blocks away, heading south on Elm Street.

The victim, who is currently without a permanent address, told authorities that he was resting on a mattress in the alley when he was approached and forcibly removed from the mattress by the assailants.

During the attack, one of the suspects wielded a box cutter, resulting in the victim sustaining a cut to his arm.

Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the two suspects.

The first suspect is described as a thin white male, last seen wearing a black Celtics hat, a black shirt, and dark pants.

The second suspect is described as a heavy-set white male with hairy arms, a Boston accent, and was wearing a red shirt along with either work pants or shorts.
