Manchester police arrest one, seize firearms in drug raid

MANCHESTER — Following the execution of a search warrant, Manchester Police Department’s Special Enforcement Division arrested 34-year-old Joseph Taylor and seized multiple firearms on Feb. 5.

Taylor, who was under investigation for allegedly selling crack cocaine from his residence at 111 Jewett Street, was apprehended and charged with the sale of a controlled drug and receiving stolen property, specifically a firearm, which is a felony.

The search of Taylor’s first-floor apartment led to the discovery of an arsenal that included a Sig Sauer P938 9MM Handgun, a Glock 22 .40 Caliber Handgun, a stolen Glock 19 9MM Handgun, a Ruger 9MM Handgun, a Glock Switch, various rounds of ammunition, and cash believed to be from drug trafficking.

At the time of his arrest, Taylor was on Federal Probation due to a prior firearms-related conviction.

The Manchester Police are continuing their investigation into the case.
