Lyndon man arrested for second DUI in Burke

BURKE — A Lyndon man was arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, marking his second DUI offense, Vermont State Police said.

VSP officers responded to a call at 2:06 a.m. about a vehicle stopped in the roadway on W Darling Hill Rd.

Upon arrival, they found the vehicle running with a male asleep behind the wheel.

The man was identified as 32-year-old Cody Mitchell of Lyndon.

During the interaction, Mitchell displayed signs of impairment and was subsequently placed under arrest.

He was transported to the St. Johnsbury State Police Barracks for processing.

Following the citation, Mitchell was released.

The Lyndonville Police Department provided assistance during the incident.
