St. Johnsbury hit-and-run, police seek information

ST. JOHNSBURY — Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to a report of a multi-vehicle crash on Feb. 3 at about 4 p.m. on Mount Pisgah Road, with one of the vehicles involved fleeing the scene.

The suspect’s vehicle, described only as a grey or black SUV, collided with a car driven by 71-year-old Leann Quapaw as she was turning left onto Mt Pisgah Road from Memorial Drive.

The SUV then fled south on Memorial Drive, according to the Vermont State Police.

Quapaw, a resident of St. Johnsbury, was not injured in the crash.

Authorities are urging witnesses or anyone with information about the hit-and-run vehicle to come forward.
