Man arrested at Highgate Port of Entry as fugitive from justice

HIGHGATE — A Massachusetts man was taken into custody at the Highgate Port of Entry last night on an outstanding warrant from New Hampshire.

At approximately 8:38 p.m. on Feb. 4, U.S.

Customs and Border Protection officers alerted troopers from the St. Albans Field Station that Damian Morillo Francisco, 26, of Methuen, MA, had an extraditable warrant for his arrest.

Following the notification, Francisco was apprehended without incident.

After being processed at the St. Albans Field Station, Francisco was lodged at the Northwest State Correctional Facility.

He is expected to appear in Franklin County Superior Court to face charges as a fugitive from justice.

The exact date and time of the court appearance have not been disclosed.

Authorities have not released further details about the nature of the warrant or the charges Francisco faces in New Hampshire.

The investigation is ongoing.
