Burlington man arrested on warrant following traffic stop in Waterbury

WATERBURY — A Burlington man was taken into custody late Saturday night after police conducted a traffic stop on Stowe Street in the town of Waterbury.

Eugene Streeter, 38, was a passenger in the vehicle stopped by Troopers from the Berlin Barracks at approximately 10:51 p.m. for an unspecified violation.

Upon identification, it was discovered that Streeter had an outstanding arrest warrant related to a parole violation.

Streeter was subsequently lodged at the Northeast Correctional Complex where he is being held without bail.

He awaits a parole board hearing to determine the next steps in his case.

The details of the initial traffic violation and the specifics of Streeter’s parole violation have not been released.
